Fixed-Switching Frequency Finite-State Model Predictive Thrust and Primary Flux Linkage Control for LIM

چکیده

The special design of linear induction machines (LIMs) leads to adverse effects caused by the longitudinal and end effects. These make thrust control LIMs most attractive because its value decreases sharply with speed increase. Thus, finite-state model predictive (FS-MPC) is developed increase performance LIMs. However, variable switching frequency main drawback this control. Consequently, objectives paper are propose FS-MPC a constant frequency, directly speed, overcome problems resulting from Therefore, proposed based on primary flux linkage (TF) concept. In addition, effect considered during modeling method. FS-MPTFC method has been tested under different working cases using MATLAB/Simulink check validity. Parameters 3 kW arc machine have used simulation results.

Finite Thrust Control for Satellite Formation Flying with State Constraints

This paper considers the problem of rotating a constellation of spacecraft using on/oo thrusters such that the relative distance between the spacecraft is maintained to within a speciied tolerance. The basic idea is to resolve all of the constraints into a sphere around the desired tra-jectory of each spacecraft. As the constellation rotates, the sphere sweeps out a tube that constrains the mot...

Development of an Analytic Model for Flux Switching Motors

This paper presents developing an analytical model for flux switching motors. The motor is a class of variable reluctance motors that has two windings on stator; a field winding and an armature winding. Due to saliency of both stator and rotor poles, accurate modeling is difficult which arises from the nonlinear behavior of the machine. This paper presents a simple model which is able to predic...

Model Predictive Control of a Thrust-vectored Flight Control Experiment

Model predictive control (MPC) is applied to the Caltech ducted fan, a thrust-vectored flight experiment. A real-time trajectory generation software based on spline theory and sequential quadratic programming is used to implement the MPC controllers. Timing issues related to the computation and implementation of repeatedly updated optimal trajectories are discussed. Results show computational s...

State Space Flux Linkage Controller with Static Finite Element Plant Model for Bearingless Synchronous Reluctance Motor

The paper present a novel idea of simulating a flux controller with a finite element solver embedded in the motor model for the bearingless operation of a synchronous reluctance motor. Since rotor anisotropy and strong magnetic saturation can be accurately modelled in the finite element solutions, simulating the controller with a finite element based feedback generating system gives the opportu...
